African Currency Forum 2027
Where Africa’s Currency Future Takes Shape
Connecting Central Banks, Industry Leaders, and Global Innovators.
1–4 February 2027 | Cairo, Egypt
Advancing the future of banknotes in Africa
The Association of African Banknote and Security Document Printers (AABSDP) is proud to announce the fifth edition of the African Currency Forum from 1 to 4 February 2027.
The event is hosted by the Central Bank of Egypt and organized by International Mint And Print and bringing together key stakeholders from across Africa’s banknote industry and the international currency community. The Forum takes place in the context of Egypt’s continued development of its currency infrastructure, including the establishment by the CBE of a modern, state-of-the-art banknote printing facility in the New Administrative Capital (NAC). This setting reinforces the Forum’s focus on advancing banknote security, production capabilities, technological innovation and currency management, while providing a platform for knowledge exchange, professional dialogue and collaboration between African issuing authorities, government security printers and international industry partners.
